i assisted beth ely [of beth ely photography] on a wedding this past weekend. we worked together at the daily tar heel and at missy mclamb’s studio in chapel hill, and it was great to work with her again! i snuck in a couple of shots before we did portraits, including a few of beth in action. photographers are sneaky.

love, love, love. erin + bryan, 09.18.10

happy valentine’s day, everyone! i took a short hiatus to regroup, and a lot of things have changed. i’ll be rolling out lots of new things in the next few weeks: more photo posts, new photography packages, and prints and crochet stuff in my etsy shop.

my biggest news is that i have quit my job and i’m doing photography full time! if you want to book an event or portrait session, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

okay, back to erin and bryan. i can’t think of a better way to celebrate valentine’s day than to share a wedding shoot! 

erin & bryan were married in wrightsville in september, and i was lucky enough to be there to photograph it. soon after i met erin, she called dibs on me to shoot her wedding…even before she was engaged!

we had a wonderful time. erin’s mom mentioned that erin wanted her big day to be about friends and family, and that’s exactly what it turned out to be. beautiful weather, beautiful smiles, beautiful people.

tammy & todd, 09.13.08

i can’t believe it’s been two years since tammy and todd got hitched! their wedding is still one of my favorites-they choreographed the ceremony, complete with theme music for everyone in the wedding party, and their reception was full of crazy dancing (which is my fav!). i love couples that make their wedding their own-right down to the his and hers chuck taylors.
